  Photographing Your Pottery with Sharon Sturgis Raku and Mica Inclusion Stains with David Hodap

  Sharon Sturgis is an accomplished Fort Worth photographer who also teaches photography at Tarrant County College. This workshop will focus on getting the best pictures of your work for use in competitions and juried shows, using natural lighting and whatever equipment you currently have - even if it's only your cellphone!

  Animals and Artifacts Workshop 2019  
  A 2-day hands-on workshop with Ariel and Sweety Bowman  
  August 10-11, 2019    9 a.m. - 3 p.m.  
  Yarmouth Studio 6524 Orchard Drive, Flower Mound  

$250 per person, includes clay, breakfast, and Sunday lunch

  This workshop will cover two different ways of sculpting animals in clay. Ariel Bowman will be demonstrating solid building, while her mom Sweety will share hollowbuilding techniques and using thrown forms.

  The Art of Raku and Other Alternative Firing Methods  
  with Ralph Tobin  
  August 31 - November 23, 2019 (Saturdays)  
  TCC Northeast Campus (Continuing Education)  
  Cost is $165 for all 12 days  
  Basic and advanced alternative firing techniques including Japanese and American raku, primitive pit firing, horsehair and feathers, infused mica, and obvera.
